Article: Clarins
On 1 March 2005, Clarins South Africa became part of the global family, by opening the very first Institut Clarins, in Africa, situated at the Clarins South Africa Headquarters, 17A Scott Street, Waverley, Johannesburg.

Designed by an expert team of Clarins architects in Paris, this world class, state of the art institut boasts 7 rooms including a men's specific area and a "couple's room". In addition to this, full 'wet' facilities including a vichy shower room and spa bath.

When Jacques Courtin-Clarins opened his first Beauty Institute on the rue Tronchet in Paris in 1954, he understood long before anyone else, the effectiveness of a treatment method based on the beneficial properties of plants and essential oils on the skin, using 100% manual techniques

All treatments are based on the Clarins Touch. This unique and professional method involves over 80 intricate movements. Highly trained therapists use different rhythmic strokes to stimulate the lymphatic system and blood circulation, to maintain the health of the skin and restore the natural balance and energy of body and mind. No appliance or machine is as sensitive or dextrous as the human hand, and the hands of a Clarins trained therapist have the skill to sense and respond to your skin's own specific needs.

Not just an ordinary salon! Institut Clarins, South Africa will be the first in the world to offer both the salon AND spa experience facility. For added convenience and pleasure, Institut Clarins, South Africa, will be open Monday to Thursday from 08h00 to 19h00, Friday and Saturday from 08h00 to 17h00 and Sunday from 09h00 to 14h00, thus allowing clients to unwind straight after work or at their leisure over the weekend.

A comprehensive range of treatments ranging from Spa Experience, the Clarins Classic Facial Treatments, Clarins Pro-Active Treatments, Pre and Post-natal Treatments, Men's Treatments and Finishing Touches, are available.

Our institut activity conveys the fundamental values of the brand and constitutes our key difference in relation to our competitors. This is our heritage. Institut Clarins, it's a sensory experience that addresses the way you look and feel!

"Life goes by fast enough. Take time to experience a Clarins treatment: a moment of absolute well-being, the pleasure of the senses and renewed beauty" - Jacques Courtin-Clarins -
