Want to start exercising but not sure what to try? You have plenty of options, why not try them all?

 
Join a gym
Sounds dull? Can't imagine yourself pumping iron or doing aerobics? The good news is that gyms offer so much more these days, from kick boxing to dance classes, yoga and Pilates so check what's up at a gym near you. But don't be pressured into signing a lifetime contract, explore all the options and find a contract that suits you.

Hit the road
Running is such a simple way to exercise, all you need is a good pair of running shoes and a long road. If you'd like to start slowly and meet great People then join a club. Search the internet for a walking and running club in your area.

Shake your booty
Dance classes are a great way to get fit, de-stress and lift your mood without feeling like you are actually exercising. Salsa is very popular at the moment, as are most forms of ballroom dancing. Don't forget about belly dancing and pole dancing for sexy alternatives.

Look east
Disciplines such as tai chi and yoga are aim to achieve harmony between your mind and body. They also boost your physical Strength and are a great way to de-stress and refocus. Tai Chi is a graceful art form with combat origins – think martial arts in slow motion – and yoga is a great way to tone while working your flexibility.

Take a hike
Walking outdoors is a great way to spend time with friends or your family and enjoy low impact, high benefit exercise with little risk of injury and no need for equipment. It may seem gentle, but a brisk walk burns up 300 calories in 30 minutes. Start slowly, but aim eventually for brisk walks that increase your sweat. If you need a "team" behind you, join your local hiking club.

Even if you think you are not really an "exercise" person it’s important to know that you have choices. Why not go out there and give some of them a try you may just enjoy it more than you expected.
