Virgin Active Spin the Cape Argus

Virgin Active did not go unnoticed at the Cape Argus Pick Pay Cycle Tour as 200 of its members participated in the biggest outdoor spinning class South Africa has yet seen.

The cyclists, in bright red cycle tops, set off at 09h02 and cycled together behind the race vehicle with a DJ, a spinning bike with a spinning instructor, facing the peloton leading and encouraging the group through the race.

According to the Virgin Actives event coordinator Marelise Snyman, cyclists were very enthusiastic and loved being apart of this campaign; as a whole, they felt that having the music and the spinning instructor aided them in keeping together as a team and inspired them to finish the race in a good time.

Once the race was over, the cyclists and their partners were invited to join Virgin Active in their hospitality tent. On arrival, cyclists were handed refreshing and tasty flavoured waters from CarpeDiem and KAUAI provided a delicious and healthy light lunch for cyclists to enjoy. They also had the option of a relaxing massage from Virgin Spa to ease away the aches and pains incurred during the race.

The afternoon ended with a lucky draw, Virgin Active gear was given away as well as incredible hamper sponsored by Adidas.
