Results of research conducted among 40 male students from the university of Zululand in 2004, found that most of them favoured slim women over those with fuller figures. The results came hot on the heels of previous studies, conducted by the same team, that revealed African women are striving to be thinner because that is what they believe men find attractive.
TRUE LOVE conducted a survey among 20 black men between the ages of 22 and 40 to find out their preferences.
So, do men prefer a curvaceous or a skinny woman?
When it comes to clothing sizes – what is attractive?
Do they think women pay too much attention to what they weigh?
Have they ever dumped a woman because of her size – so if she lost or gained too much weight?
Do they still think a fuller figure is the standard for African beauty?
So there you have it. This is what men really think, well, the 20 men who did the survey at least. Tell us what you think in our comment box below. We'd love to hear.
