WHEAT Trust celebrates 10 years

On 22 May the 1000 Women Luncheon at the CTICC celebrates WHEAT Trust's tenth anniversary and with the theme Honour a Woman, will bring together women and men in solidarity.

With Patricia Glyn as guest speaker and a line up of top entertainers, this will be a celebration showcasing the achievements of the organisation over ten years. MCs Natalie Becker and Marc Lottering promised to set the pace and Aviva Pelham and her celebrated Divas will deliver star performances.

As the WHEAT Trust's event of the year it is an opportunity to network with like-minded women and men willing to assist women's empowerment projects reach their full potential. As in previous years, corporates and individuals are invited to book their table now to avoid disappointment.

The Honour a Woman campaign calls on all South Africans, particularly men, to promote a culture of respect and appreciation for women of all ages and backgrounds, as well as the development of a safe environment for all.

By honouring a woman who has played a profound role in your life, a pledge in the form of money will help WHEAT Trust to continue supporting and empowering grassroots women.

On a larger scale these pledges contribute to socio-economic development of the country and upliftment of poor communities. An Honour a Woman Wall will be erected at the lunch identifying all those women who have been honoured to date. This is your opportunity to pay tribute to a special woman in your life.

WHEAT Trust is a national women's fund that primarily supports women's development initiatives through Grantmaking. Individuals and/or organisations apply for a grant to access training, which they require to optimise their community development work. These grants are awarded to organisations driving projects in various areas of work. All initiatives assist in social upliftment of women and their communities.

Celebrate these ten years of achievement with WHEAT Trust at the event of the year by booking your table now for 22 May and be counted among those who are willing to contribute to effecting positive social change. To book your table or individual ticket, call Mpumi Fanana on 021 442 1418, or email Mpumi@rainbowcpt.co.za.
