2. The actors are quite close off screen as well. "Katherine Kelly Lang, Ronn Moss and I stay very close to each other and our kids go to each other's birthday parties. We are like one big happy family on and off screen," explains Hunter Tylo.

3. The Bold and the Beautiful is over 5000 episodes strong and is viewed in more than 140 countries.

4. After learning words and dressing for a certain scene, the actors have to go through five people (hair, makeup, wardrobe, shoes, touch-up) to make them look pretty for viewers.

5. Not all the clothes on the show are designer clothes. Birgit Muller, costume designer for Bold, says that she goes out and looks at undiscovered and new designers whose work she can use in the soap. "I want people to see for instance Brooke dressing differently than everybody else. She must stand out. Thus people can also see what new fashions are out there."

6. The Bold and the Beautiful held an auction where 30 of the best designs were auctioned off and the $800 000 was donated to cancer prevention.

7. In five years Birgit Muller has been designing for the show, there have been 30 or 40 different weddings for which she had to make unique wedding dresses – especially for Brooke, who keeps marrying! Every dress has to be different and more dazzling than the previous one.

8. John McCook (Eric Forrester) plays the father of Ronn Moss (Ridge Forrester), who is only seven years younger then John. John had to dye his hair grey to seem older when the show started in 1987. These days John's grey is decidely more natural.

9. It is the only American soap opera to simulcast in Spanish language track for Hispanic viewers in the United States (under the title Belleza y poder).

10. Australian rock band The Drugs recorded a song called The Bold and the Beautiful, as a tribute of sorts to the series.
