Gustav rocked the Deep in June 2004, when he started a cult of his own. Surprisingly enough, sweet and loving Joey decided to join and it was up to Dup to save her once again.

9. Change of scenery
What is Isidingo without a mine? This was the exact thought of many viewers when we found out that the mine will be closing down in May 2006.

10. Only skin deep
She started out as Cherel’s domestic help but her beauty was evident. In 2000, Tina Jaxa's character won her first beauty pageant.

15. No way out
Getting stuck in a mine can be very traumatic. For Zeb, the feeling was exactly that when he experienced underground darkness in June 2006.

16. Where's the light?
June 2005 was possibly the most watched month in Isidingo. Wasn't it just great seeing Cherel sentenced to and suffering in prison?

17. Held hostage
After being raped by Fish and the gang, Lolly took a stand and was willing to testify against him. Unfortunately for Lolly, in July 2002, Fish got to her before she got to court. Hostage drama at its best!

18. Out of hiding
A shocking revelation in April 2006 saw Lee re-united with her mother who she believed was dead.

19. Not by choice
August 2005 was a happy time on the Deep, when Dup and Tanya decided marriage was the next step for their growing relationship. The Deep’s best wedding yet had viewers enthralled.

20. Master of his universe
We always knew Barker was capable of many things – but rising from the dead like he did in September 2006 was definitely one for the record books.

21. The death of Lee Haines
Ashley Callie's untimely death was a shock to the nation, and the decision to write her out of the series was a good one. She'll always be missed.

I think its great though they have even more great more moments. Lee's hot relationship with Rajesh that was messed up by ' daddy' when he framed Rajesh for human trafficking. Zeb's temporary disability that man drove me crazy for a couple of days. and how can I forget how Steve came out of the closet and that molestation issues. Him and Dusty those love scenes were intense. Eish do u remember Chicco and Nessa and Mr Van Onsellen( I told I was a no.1 fan) The mini series are amazing. I love it, I love and I love it more. Len is just so mean, Papa G my God that afrikaans, I can say a lot but for now all I can is .They are just all amazing actors they understand its a job they need to entertain us. Please this other soapy companies should learn everything from them. What happended to Florence the dosmestic worker who knows all her rights her favourate line " is is because I am black"

One scene that really stands out for me was after the Colin Moss character funeral. Remember how Nandipha comforted Parsons under the sheets?

The writers are doing a good job. The Matabane's are a model family, respectful grown- up children are hard to come-by this days. Barker, Ntate Matabane and Georgie make my day.Actually everyone at isidingo rocks. Im the no1+ fan. cant live breath without you Isidingo.

I just love Nandipha and Parsons love life. Remamber when they united in Zanzibar. they are the most stunning couple. It was so sad what happened to Dup and Tanya, they made such a nice couple also. Anyway what I like about Isidingo is that everything is so real, even when they make small conversation they are so relevant. everything is real and South African. Indeed it's not a soap it a daily drama we can not live without.

It pisses me off that people thought Tanya and Dup were so great together. The whole point was that they were wrong for each other and got together for the wrong reasons. Tanya loved Dup but she was in love with Len... her story still makes me cry.

Reading this has been a wonderful trip down memory lane of one of SA's best-loved soap. Another moment I'd like to add is the time that Vusi started seeing visions and became a prophet. However, as this article demonstrates there's been very little to write home about over the last 18 months or so. I haven't watched this show for a long time now, and it used to be my favourite soap on the box. Hopefully things will pick up, but for now, I'm not that interested in any of the storylines they've got going :(
