I didn't watch Survivor while on holiday, but I did go one better.

I was at University with Mandla, and I bumped into him at a wedding, where I gently probed him to the show's outcome.

"So. Did you win?" I asked.

He smiled at me. (I forgot how terribly good-looking Mandla is up close. I remarked on this, apparently repeatedly, throughout the wedding. My husband was not terribly impressed. Still. Phwooar, people.)

"Why? Are you trying to borrow money?" he replied. Ooh, he's slick.

Definitely going to watch tonight. Think I may be developing a little crush. – Sam

I missed last week's episode and Sunday's repeat as it's my best friend's wedding on Sunday. As a bridesmaid there are errands to run and to try and balance watching Survivor or search for shoes for my dress is an easy option. The dress wins hands down.

Aside from the fact that I missed the episode and the repeat, I have also decided to chuck a white flag into the ring as I am really NOT enjoying this show whatsoever.

To add to my self-sacrifice, I wont be able to watch Wednesday or Sunday this week so there really isn't much hope for me and Survivor – Robyn

Gosh. Such capitulation. And in the face of no more than a little lace. Shame on you, Robyn. Shame on you.

Day twelve and all seems very lazy. Will poor Lisa not ever learn her lesson? And somehow she is still there, that's what happens when you make the right friends.

Okay Bajau seems like they're totally comfortable in their little world of Hein. My word, I don't think I have ever seen a better survivor but somehow I doubt if he will end up being the Survivor. Both Grant and Mandla feel a bit threatened about his dominance in the tribe. Will it soon be time for this old lion to be chased away from the pride? I certainly do not hope so 'cause he is my favourite.

Iban, poor poor Iban. They ended up with both the dufus men. Rijesh is just silly with all his Amanda and her accent nonsense and thinking he is still the puppet master and Irshaad just can't seem to get anything right. Dyke is the swing vote in this tribe of 5 with the girls against the boys. I wonder if he knows that.

Now, I have to admit that I was a bit freaked out by the whole reward challenge. Didn't mind the goat so much, but as soon as you feed something and live with it, even for just a day, how do you get it over your heart to have it slaughtered? Yeah I know I'm not thinking survivor here excuse me for turning vegetarian just for a few seconds. Biltong, ribbetjies, steak and kidney pie.....

Nope, I still like my meat so back I am. I heard somewhere that it was not Rezki that got slaughtered but another goat. By the way, Bajau did not only win by default in my opinion. They simply were the stronger team. And what a bad loser Irshaad was.

Really enjoyed the rope relay, that was fun. And of course Bajau won by a braid. They had me a bit worried there for a moment, did Hein forget his glasses? Hee-hee. Mandla shined at the feast afterward. A well-deserved reward and how cool are Hein's skills – building them an oven. I'm waiting for him to whip out the jacuzzi plans.

And tribal council it is bye-bye puppet master Rijesh. Now who will be next? – Neldri

"At Bajau, lucky lucky lucky Lisa is still hanging around doing nothing walking around with a smile that seems to say 'I know I won't be voted off AGAIN!' And at Iban Rijesh and Amanda gave each other a go, bad-mouthing and denouncing each other. Rijesh even commented on her fake American accent (which I could not pick up – I will listen with care next time). This was certainly the lekkerest episode so far! What with all the fighting, complaining, etc.

Hein is still idolised by many of his Bajau-members and Dyke is staking his claim as the 'leader' in Iban. Will Iban get a new yam patch? Will Amanda go off her rocket with Rijesh? Both answers I think will be answered in the next episode.

Riekert (my son) was watching with me on Wednesday night, and he was crying when Bajau decided to have Rezki (the goat) slaughtered. Especially when she was lying so peacefully on her side by the tree when the survivors went to collect their 'steak', the next morning. He thought she was only sleeping!

I had to explain to him the concept that meat is needed to sustain people and that these people need meat which is not so readily available on their island! And in my mind I had a wicked idea: why not eat lazy Lisa, Bajau? Sorry: I know cannibalism is forbidden and not a green rule in Survivor, but how else will we get rid of her?

M-net fooled us all – again (Bloody smart Marketing people...)! For those of you who were also 'up in arms' about the slaughter of Rezki the goat, take a chill pill; Rezki is alive and probably sipping a cocktail on the coast of an exotic Malaysian Island... geez, the life of a celeb! (Read the story on my blog)

For all you fag-hags and niggies who didn't want Rijesh to be voted off, I've got a scenario: Do you remember the "Dead Man's Island" where Nichal was sent in the very first episode? Jip that island were NO ONE else has been sent yet? Well, I think that Rijesh and Nichal are both there right now as we speak (in episode terms) and will pop-up again in the next few weeks. But remember, I THINK! My guess is as good as yours... but think about it... it all makes sense.
