I'm 25 years old married with no children, and now me and my husband want to have a baby. I took contraceptives for over a year, after that I stopped didn't have my period for a year, last year I started to get my period back. I had my period regullary for about a year now, I used the 2month injection, can't remember it's name. Now I want to know weather that will affect my chances to concieve. I also want to know if there is anything I can use to increase my chances of geting pregnant.

Dear Zanele, I'm sorry – I really am not qualified to answer these questions, as I am not a doctor ? but a parent counsellor. I think you should consult a doctor or gynaecologist. It sounds as if your chances are very good. And the best way to prepare for a healthy pregnancy is to eat a healthy,well balanced diet, get enough exercise – and enjoy your relationship. Of course, if you are a smoker – you should give this up – and avoiding alcohol is also a good idea. Other than that, good luck!- Anne Cawood
