Question
Hi
I'm a male of 30 years of age and I develop a jealousy of my partner. How can I grow out of that, and we hardly make love to one another these days. What may be the problem? I'm afraid of loosing her.
Answer
Jealousy is indeed an ugly green monster and can lead to the death of an otherwise happy relationship, not to mention one where there are many underlying issues that are not being dealt with. It sounds to me like the jealousy is a manifestation of much deeper issues and the fact that you hardly make love is no surprise. Without trust and emotional intimacy making love, particularly for women, becomes very difficult. I suggest that you seek the help of a professional counselor who will help you to deal with the core issues that is causing your jealousy. If you do love your partner as you say you do you will be willing to deal with these issues honestly and openly even if it is difficult.- Marina Green
