As long as they read
Oh how I loved Enid Blyton! I couldn't wait to go to boarding school so I could experience all the fun – like they have at St Clare's and Malory Towers. What a shocking wake-up call I had. Boarding school was NOT what I was expecting!
I don't really mind what my kids are reading – so long as they are reading. Getting them away from the TV, computer and Playstation is a real challenge, which is why finding authors who can keep kids reading is such a challenge!!
Cressida Cowell is fantastic! Her book What Shall We Do With The Boo Hoo Baby? is my 2 year old daughter's current favourite when she is 'reading' alone, while my 11 year old son thinks her books How to Train Your Dragon and How to Be a Pirate are great.
