You will need:

  • 2 Face cloths
  • 60cm white cord
  • 4 small plastic suction cups |
  • Polyester filling

    To make:
    1. Trim off the borders off the of the face cloths. Cut cord into four 15cm lengths. Thread the cord through the eye of each suction cup. Fold the cord in half and pin on the wrong side of the cloth at each corner. Machine stitch the cord in place securely.

    2. Place the right sides of clothes together and machine stitch a 1cm seam around the edge, leaving a 10cm opening for turning. Turn through the right side and insert filling through the opening. Hand stitch the opening closed.

    Note:

You'll find suction cups at your local hardware store. Make sure you purchase you purchase one with an eye going through the top stem, because the cord must pass through the eye.

  • 200cm sequin ribbon
  • matching sewing thread
  • dressmaker's pencil

    2. Place the sequin ribbon on top of the outline and, using matching coloured thread, stitch the sequin ribbon in place. Work a few stitches at the start and end to secure the lettering.

    WITH LOVE

    You will need:

  • 80x 55cm white Indian voile
  • packet of pink glass seed beads
  • white and pink sewing threads

    To make:
    1. Cut two rectangles each 35x 55cm. The short sides are the top and bottom edges. Fold a 3mm double hem on the top edge of each rectangle and top- stitch in position. Place the wrong sides of fabric together and work a 3mm seam around the other three edges. Turn through to right side and work a 5mm seam over the previous seam to produce a French seam.

    2. Cut two strips each 35x 1,5cm for the ties. Fold the rectangle to form and envelope and stitch at side seams. Attach one tie to the centre bottom of envelope and the other to the centre top between the open edges. Now work edge stitching along the top edge, sandwiching the tie.

    3. Draw a heart motif on a separate piece of voile and decorate with sequins and beads. Cut out heart, leaving a 5mm seam allowance. Fold under allowance and hand stitch to the top of the envelope.
