The beauties are not shy about discussing the use of silicone on their breasts and behinds to add more vertiginous curves at a cost of $3 500 to $5 000.
"I only have 220 millilitres" of silicone, Sao Paulo's Mancha Verde samba school queen Viviane Araujo was quoted as saying in Folha de Sao Paulo newspaper.
Brazilian singer Ivete Sangalo, who was named the queen of Salvador's Carnival in northeastern Brazil, showed off her musical talent as well as her enlarged breasts as she stood on her samba school's speakers.
Sangalo, 34, recently admitted to a Brazilian magazine that she had 200 millilitres of silicone.
This year's nationally televised carnival parades in Rio and Sao Paulo were a display of enhanced silhouettes, while Brazil's thong-wearing samba queens have traditionally been better known for their buxom behinds.
"'Siliconed' breasts have become a carnival accessory," Folha newspaper commented, noting the high number of women with enhancements this year, including some as large as half a liter's worth of silicone.
Helen Cardoso, a singer and dancer who performed in Sao Paulo, explained that she got a breast implant to even out her curves, noting that she had a "big bumbum," as Brazilians call the buttocks.
