Question
Hi there I think I have the laziest husband. I want to use the bevel facility on his jigsaw and he hasn't a clue how to use it. I'm making a cupboard for my grandchildren's bedroom and wanted to bevel the top. Please tell me how to do it, the bevelled look is always so good. Many thanks Joy
Answer
Hi Joy,For a decorative bevelled edge you will need to use a Router, not a Jigsaw. A Jigsaw is used mainly for cutting wood, although you can set the base plate (metal plate at the bottom) to a 45-degree angle to cut the edge at a slant. If this is what you want to do, simply untighten the bolt in the centre of the base plate and move the plate either left or right - depending on which way you are cutting the edge.
