Question
How do i get rid of water stains on wood?
Answer
Without knowing the full extent of the damage, the easiest and most practical way to remove water stains on wood is to use Woodoc SteelWool (available at hardware stores) and give the surface a gently buffing in line with the grain of the wood. Lubricate the steelwool with mineral oil to prevent the steelwool from scratching the surface.White stains result for the protective way layer being damaged, while black stains means that water has penetrated right through into the wood. It's not very hard to remove white stains, just some gently buffing, and then reapply your regular sealing or polish.
