Team Aniston t-shirts were destined to outsell Team Jolie t-shirts because Jennifer Aniston has an attainable and likeable beauty. Quite frankly I, and I think it is safe to say Jennifer too, am tired of the "which woman is better" comparisons.
Sure the divorce and subsequent betrayal would forever associate Ms Aniston with the rainbow union of the Jolie-Pitts. It was however a love triangle of a different kind which made her everyone's favorite friend.
Jennifer started her career with a naïve sense of style. She was plain Jen from next door with too dark hair and untamed eyebrows. When she landed the role of Rachel Green, on the hit TV show Friends, Jennifer was exposed to the machine which is Hollywood.
At the start of her fame, Jennifer’s talent was evident but her look was unimpressive. In a TV series, the true test of a character is if they form a bond with their audience. It’s not simply about the script but the image of the actor, particularly female characters, which we admire or aspire too.
In the 90’s, we had two prominent female TV icons. We had Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) who was our escapist character. Someone whose wardrobe and dialogue created a unique and extra-ordinary life, interesting but not realistic. Then there was Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) who was our realist. She portrayed a young ambitious yet fallible career woman in her thirties, dealing with the highs and lows of life, love and everything in between.
Her fashion and style were inspirational and obtainable; she embodied the look of her female audience members, only better dressed and tressed. Her development of the character Rachel Green exposed Jennifer to fashion and glamour and as her character transformed, Jennifer too became increasingly comfortable with herself.
Her leading role in a sitcom guaranteed her publicity, and designers were desperate to dress the star. Jennifer Aniston however never claimed to be a fashion aficionado. Her confidence grew with the cut of her hair and shape of her body yet with style, she preferred to play it safe with simple looks. She relied on designers who could dress her body to its best advantage but who themselves, preferred simplicity over decorative dresses.
It was this love triangle of simple silhouettes, a toned body and gorgeous hair which became the cornerstone to her personal style. A look which to begin with seemed safe yet would later propel her onto many of the worlds best dressed lists.
Jen’s streamlined style has evolved with confidence from the young talent searching for work to the big screen star she’s become and while many of her fans still hold onto a possible reunion with ex-hubby Brad Pitt... I think Jen’s far too savvy to get back together with a man who left her to have babies with another women.

| Here my story!!!! Sophia Loren's husband left his first wife for her!!!!! Kate Hudson left her husband for Owen Wilson!! Then they broke up!! Pavarotti left his first wife for the second one!! I can carry on until next year. So please stop talking about Brad and Angelina. The point is you do not know Jennifer (or Jen as you say). You will also never be friends with her. | ||

| My my Lynn, who rattled your cage. We love Jen and we don't need to know her to do so. She has style and grace and decorum. All Jolie has is fat lips... | ||

| Lynn - I think you are missing the point of the whole article! That is EXACTLY what the writer is saying - that Jennifer (Jen) HERSELF has evolved, and should no longer be referred to as part of the Brangelina / Jolie-Pitt triangle. GREAT ARTICLE!! | ||

| Lynn just pointed out the obvious, Jennifer is not the first woman who got divorced, why EVERYBODY feels SO SORRY for her heavens knows. Don't think she is interesting, why all this love for a normal average person that you don't even know. At least Angie does something positive and worthwhile and admit it, stunningly beautiful. | ||

| Absolutely super that Jen "streamlined her style" after the big break up. With so much time and energy spent on her body, hair and look, no wonder that the work in refugee camps in countries like Iraq, Tanzania and Pakistan was left to the Angies of the world. Some people also had time to have a baby and adopt another 2 children. But let's get back to Jen again... Is she still out surfing with the Arquettes? | ||

| I Agree, Jen is like a good red wine, just getting better with time - Jolie would like to be half what Jen is !! | ||

| Can she get on with her life now and forget about Brad and Angelina. Some women have been through worse and Brad and Angelina are happy, it was just meant to be!!! There are always 2 side to a story. | ||
