Tropical punch
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
1 litre
water
300 ml
white sugar
5 ml
fresh ginger, grated
1 litre
fresh grapefruit juice
300 ml
freshly squeezed lemon juice
1
fresh pineapple, grated
60 ml
rum (optional)
1 litre
soda water
fresh mint leaves, to garnish
Method:
1. Heat water, sugar and ginger together in a large saucepan. Stir over gentle heat until sugar dissolves. Allow to cool completely.
2. Add fruit juice, pineapple and rum and refrigerate until ready to serve. Add soda water just before serving and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
Makes 4,5 litres.
