Pineapple cool drink
Preparation time: +/- 20 min
Ingredients
3500 ml
water
2 kg
sugar
20 ml
tartaric acid
750 ml
orange juice concentrate
30 ml
pineapple essence
30 ml
lemon flavouring or another bottle pineapple essence
Method:
Mix the water and sugar in a large saucepan.
Heat slowly while stirring continuously till the sugar has dissolved. Do not bring the mixture to the boil. Add the tartaric acid and stir well.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix. Pour into clean bottles and use as needed.
Serve with cold water and ice cubes.
Makes about 5 litres.
