Beijing seems to be the place to go if you want to be triumphant this year. Prior to hosting the Olympic Games in August, the city will also accommodate young designers from all over the globe competing for the Triumph Inspiration Award on the 31st of July.
The SA finals took place last week and avant-garde designer Petra Nieuwoudt from Cape Town secured her place in the international final with her black panelled ensemble. She will be flying the SA flag high in Beijing. Needless to say the competition should be petrafied.
Petra may be one step closer to the big prize but it's still a lot of lace to get through before she can dream of having her design turned into a real range by the Triumph design team. She faces stiff competition from 30 other hopefuls in the international finale. The designs will be judged on creative talent and practical execution by tough experts in the fields of fashion, media and design.
Check out the designs showcased at the SA final here.
Thank you for taking part in the Triumph competition and Congratulations to all the winners!
