1.Skinny jeans: Skinny jeans are here to stay. They were huge last winter and they are back again. Wear your skinnies in all shades this winter. Don't be afraid to don brightly coloured skinnies for than fun feel. When it comes to the skinny jean, the narrower and more tapered the better.
2.Opaque tights: Avoid the winter chills and white leg shame with opaque tights. Leggings are out this winter. Tights are the only way you can wear a skirt this winter and look fabulous.
3.The blazer jacket: Last winter we embraced the 1960's cropped jacket but this season it's all about the masculine blazer. Blazers are fitted and can be worn over anything. Pair your's with a retro-t shirt.
4.Prints: Brighten up your winter wardrobe with prints. Checks and pretty florals are favourites on dresses, blouses and jackets.
5.Ankle boots: The ankle boot debuted last season and is a firm favourite for winter 2008. Pair yours with your skinny jeans or wear them over tights. This season's boots have been given a glam makeover with fun colours and pretty detailing. Lace-up 'skating' ankle boots are the must-have item for winter.
6.Oversized and clutch bags: The bigger the better is still the case when it comes to handbags for the daytime. For those cold winter nights, the small clutch bag is hot hot hot! Scour thrift stores for vintage clutches to be super-stylish this winter.
7.Dresses: Dresses are huge this winter and look gorgeous on any figure. We are loving the knit dress for this season, warm AND glamorous. 1960's style dresses are also a favourite. Wear yours with tights, a blazer and ankle boots and be a true fashionista!
8.Purple: We love the colour purple for winter. Add a touch of purple to your wardrobe for a splash of colour. Whether it's a deep purple bag, a lilac scarf or bright purple pumps, purple is in.
9.Tartans, trenches and tweeds: Look glam this winter and keep warm in a fabulous winter coat. Tartan is huge this winter as well as the trusty tweed. Trench coats are essential this winter. Be brave and don a brightly coloured trench.
10.Patent: Patent is hot this winter. Patent in every form and colour is fabulous. Patent Mary Jane heels are a must have item for winter.

| I really dont think Amor Vitone can be compared to Posh! Her (Amor) style is so basic and the little trends she does pull off are copy cat of hollywood style. You can differentiate between her own personal style and the trends she often copies. Look at the YOU with Wills on the cover and the dress she's wearing, that sparkly black is so out and is something she would wear doing one of her shows..def not POSH!!!! | ||

| What about winter fashion for women who are not built like sticks (as most women aren't) and for mothers who are not old but want to look good? Is fashion only for the young and skinny? Can't get any decent fitting clothes in the department stores - help | ||

| I disagree with Linda. Most department stores have sizes and styles that I drown in and make me look thin not slender. It's like they only seem to cater for the more buxom womanly figures aka soft round the edges. | ||

| I agree with Linda. I have an African butt and struggle to get pants or jeans that fit. Some of the garments you can tell just by looking at them that they are made for flat behinds. | ||

| The article "10 essentials for winter 07" is very helpful especially for people like me who will travel to the United States this winter. I am from a tropical country so i my vocab on winter essentials is rather narrow. Thanks! | ||
