The worst-dressed celebs
No surprises here! US fashion critic "Mr Blackwell" has bestowed the worst-dressed award for 2006 to best friends Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.

The poison-penned arbiter of style described newly single Spears and celebrity socialite Hilton as "two peas in an over-exposed pod! Style-free and fashion deprived."

Spears and Hilton have been regularly photographed together enjoying nights out on the town in the wake of Spears' decision to file for divorce from husband Kevin Federline.

Next on the list was Camilla Parker-Bowles, the wife of the future king of England, Prince Charles, dubbed by Blackwell as "The Duchess of Dowdy."

Party-loving teen idol Lindsay Lohan was next, with Blackwell saying her dress sense had gone from "adorable to deplorable."

Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul, Sharon Stone, Tori Spelling, Sandra Oh and Meryl Streep rounded out the list.

Blackwell did have some kind words, however, praising British actress Kate Winslet, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce and Katie Holmes for their sense of style.

Fashion critic Blackwell has issued his "ten worst-dressed women of the year" awards annually since 1960.

What do you think? Have Britney and Paris earned this title? Who do you think is missing from the list? Should Blackwell look further than the tabloids for his bitchy asides?

What about SA celebs – do you think there are any locals who could be on the worst-dressed list? Should Pam Andrews' wardrobe be burned? And is Tamara Dey really the best-dressed woman we have?

not only are britney spears and paris hilton the worst dressed, they are also the most annoying, disgusting, and over-exposed "celebrities." Get these two a regular job; I hear the hilton is always looking for room maids!

Definitely, Pam & Tamara's wardrobes should be burned!! They seriously need a fashion make over. Tamara Dey's style is FAR too 40 years ago and Pam Andrew's style is an 80's revival gone seriously wrong! Give these girls some help!

Blah. This is so elitist. Let's concern ourselves with more important issues, NEWS24, than your "best dressed SA celeb" poll. Let people be individuals, free to wear what they like - fashion victim or not.

why do you look only at women who have been criticised their whole celebrity lives to give these awards to? why not try and find people who have contributed positively to our world than to spend money on than wasting it on people who splash it like there's no tomorrow. why not introduce something like: whoever maintain their virginity to a certain age get an award for the oldest virgin ever. this will decrease the number of hiv/aids youth and orphans we have in south africa. look at britney & paris, all we here of them is booze, boyfriends/husband and nudity if its not who is paris' best friend. those are useless stuff, do you want our youth to compete to be like them? i think kelly khumalo is even better than them with her virginity claim. at least some people believe her and do want to be like her despite the fact that she wear beads and also dance half naked sometimes. i know she in the entertainment industry but a little bit of dignity and pride is needed. after all she is african, a woman and a superstar.

Does anyone have any pics of "Mr Blackwell"? He probably dresses like a Liberace lookalike! It's difficult to understand that someone can make a living out of criticising what other people wear. Mr Blackwell, get a life, dude. How about you finance a school for boys in Kayalitsa - you can call it the Mr Blackwell School for Boys in Rags.
