I used to be the HR bureaucrat who enforced all the company rules but after I had Chloe I want to change the world for working mothers everywhere (haven't gotten very far).
I think that it's in our genetic make-up that our children will always take precedence over everything else. Historically women have always been the nurturers. Which is probably why dad doesn't feel the inclination to make drastic changes to his working life to accommodate baby.
Perhaps I'm being generalist but this is certainly the trend. Whatever it is though, for as long as I live, my child will always be my greatest achievement.
