Speaking from experience

Sanet thinks if the men at the top have wives at home who take care of them then they will never understand the concerns of corporate women.

I totally agree with your "glass ceiling" view and you are absolutely right – we should be more assertive with regard to day care & flexitime.

Unfortunately, we will still sit with mostly men at the top that need to OK these ideas and they probably don't even think about these as they have their wives sitting at home tending the children (not being derogatory towards those wives), it unfortunately just leads to their men not understanding the plight of their female employees & co-workers. (Speaking from experience!)

Do women create their own glass ceiling? Absolutely! And for most of women in the workplace it is quite OK – they do not necessarily want the top job or the job on the Man-Com. That unfortunately makes it harder for those who do want that as "generalisation" easily takes place: "Women don't fight hard enough to get to the top."

Anyway, my 2 cents worth.

Have a great day!
