Question
I bought shares and am busy setting up a company which specialises in training promotions and advertising for micro and smalll-medium businesses. Advertising is done via the cell phone. Training will be on our premises in Southern Subburbs. Head office is in Northern suburb.
Question: What is the best way to structure the company? Regarding the directors, how many directors, and what are the financial and tax implications? Do they share in the profits and the losses, salaries and or dividents etc?
Answer
There is no easy way to answer you because there are many many factors involved. However, your questions are not really for a Financial Advisor(FA), I will advise you to see a Chartered Accountant (CA) who specialises in company structures and also the agreements that go along with it. There are some FA's who do this but it's not the norm. If I were you, I will start with one or two sessions with a CA (ask for referrals or do searches on web) and then decide whether to branch out to a lawyer and FA combined with the FA.
