Introducing the latest Twitter trend, #NoPantyDay. Who’s playing along?
I agree with my colleague @kelescheppers: “You’ve got to love the Twitterverse!”
Never mind Facebook. For social media-deprived folk those who still don’t have a Twitter account, just know that it’s probably the only one place where users can get up-to-the-minute local and international news updates, together with politicians’ banter, celebs’ itinerary, and even some cringe-worthy confessions from colleagues and bosses!
But, I digress.
Enter #NoPantyDay, a trend (or topic) going viral at the moment. The idea being, for women to – yes, you guessed it – leave their underwear at home. Or, for those (like me) who only found out this morning, to remove theirs immediately.
I’m not game.
Even if it’s in aid of Cancer Awareness – if you ask me, the only ‘consciousness’ around it, involves the male masses.
@beanbagboy So, apparently, today is #NoPantyDay and in order to see if it's effective, we need all those participating to please raise their foot.
I think it’s a hoax.

Can anyone tell me who, how and why this was started?
