I've just restarted my "get into shape" resolution and hit the gym at least 4 out of 7 days between 5:30pm & 7pm for the last 4 months. However, I've found thought that immediately after every workout (aerobics class, powerplate & even regular cardio machines) I feel very sleepy. This has me worried because I was under the impression exercise is meant to energise you. What am I doing wrong?
The reason could be a number of things.
Start with training at different times of the day, as your energy levels maybe higher.
If that makes no difference then it could be a number of reasons.
Possibly overtraining or your fitness levels may be lowers then you thought?
Are you getting enough sleep and staying well hydrated?
Maybe go to a doctor and test your blood pressure, cholesterol, thyroid and blood sugar.
