People seem to think that it’s easier to carry extra weight in winter. I have to disagree. In summer I can wear a feminine, flowing, flouncy dress in a thin fabric that can hug my curves and hide my sins. In winter you have to wear jeans and all the extra layers add to your growing bulk.
So we’ve asked our nutritionist, and Editor of Food24 to round up ten skinny jeans recipes.
They’re all easy, relatively cheap to make and absolutely delicious.
Here are the recipes:
Avocado and apple salad – crunchy and creamy on a bed of spinach with walnuts and oranges.
Spicy ratatouille – this is a really tasty dish that’s filled with colour and nutrition too.
Thai sweet potato soup – this recipe uses lite coconut milk and is packed with flavour.
Beetroot and carrot salad – an awesome raw food salad with honeyed pumpkin seeds.
Fish with olives and tomatoes – So fresh and summery, this recipe is so easy and delicious.
Chicken stir-fry – serve with brown basmati rice for a healthier meal.
Calamari and chilli salad – spicy calamari with crunchy veggies and a sassy squeeze of lemon.
Pasta with roasted cherry tomatoes and pesto – add some light ricotta to the mix and you’ve got a great healthy pasta.
Roast pepper and caper salad – a colourful dish with knockout flavour.
Steak and beetroot pasta – a simple and healthy pasta.
