Sekoati Tsubane (Kabelo in 7de Laan), Amalia Uys (San Marie in 7de Laan)and Hazel Hinda (Danny in 7de Laan) were on their way to an SABC 2 event. They were en route to the stadium in a promotional helicopter when the accident occurred in Kroonstad in the Free State province.
The helicopter crashed into the bakkie in the towns' Du Toit street and four people including the pilot and the driver of the bakkie were injured. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined but an investigation is underway.
The actors were taken to a nearby hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and shock. Amalia Uys sustained a fracture to her left wrist and was kept overnight for observation.
The rescue effort was co-ordinated by the Kroonstad Emergency Services and paramedics, the fire department and police.
