Without ever having seen a single episode, conservative Americans are up in arms about a new sitcom about non-traditional families.
A group called One Million Moms are protesting a new show
called The New Normal by the creator of Glee, Ryan Murphy.
The promotional description of the show reads:
"These days, families come in all forms - single dads,
double moms, sperm donors, egg donors, one-night-stand donors... It's 2012 and
anything goes."
Despite the fact that this is a reality that many have to
live with, conservative groups are apoplectic with rage, calling the show
“damaging to our culture” because it attempts to “redefine marriage”.
Well I stand corrected because I didn’t know that American
culture could get any worse.
