The Friends star thinks David Arquette looks the "best he's ever looked". Does this mean they'll get back together?

The 46-year-old actress, who announced last October she and the actor were undergoing a trial separation after 11 years of marriage, is proud that her estranged husband recently received treatment in rehab for "alcohol and other issues" and can't believe the transformation in him.

She told US TV show Extra: "Oh my God, I'm so proud of him. Best he's ever looked! He's so cute that I'm like, 'Dude, I don't understand. Really?! Why are you that cute right now?' "

Courteney also revealed she and 39-year-old David are able to get along better than ever, though she admits it is "weird" to be in a position of having to examine their relationship.

She added: "Our communication and the way we are, just learning about each other in a different way, it's smart.

"It's weird to be at this age and look at ourselves but it's hard and it's important and I'm glad we are, so I love him."

Meanwhile, David, who stars opposite Courteney in forthcoming horror sequel Scream 4, says the pair are "working on" themselves in a bid to repair their damaged relationship.

He said in an interview with TV show Entertainment Tonight: "We're separated, we're working on ourselves and our relationship, and sort of figuring out what we want. You know, life's complicated and people go through changes.

"And I've been reading a lot of things about myself, reading books that talk about feelings and changes, and she's been working on herself a lot too. The great thing is that we really love each other and that we're really amazing parents together, very supportive - I'm her biggest fan and she's my biggest fan. You know, that's what it's all about really."
