Minnie Dlamini and Itumeleng Khune : SA’s answer to the Carters?

Minnie and Itu uploaded an endearing video on instagram of them singing to Beyonce and Jay Z’s “Drunk in Love.”

They are three of South Africa's hottest and youngest upcoming stars. And they just so happen to have formidable fashion sense.

In their pseudo replica Minnie looks sexy in a tight LBD and a cap written Khuli Chana on it. Khune rocks a grey number and a cap too.

The two sing Queen B’s song while holding TV remote controls as microphones.

It is quite fitting that the two chose to perform this particular song.

Are they perhaps suggesting that they are SA’s version of Mr and Mrs Carter? I get it that the song is very popular now and that it has parts for a boy and a girl who are together to sing along to.

But they could’ve sung Childish Gambino and Jhene Aikho’s Bed peace or Kelly Khumalo and Robbie Malinga’s uthando lwethu for example.  Just sayin’.

Khune’s instagram tag read: “Performing Drunk in Love with my bby@minniedlamini.*so Blessed*”??

Don’t know if their video was inspired by the fact that the notorious Saint Valentine is in the hood or because they really are in like or love.

Whatevs at the end of the day it makes for great instagram TV.

Even though they aren’t on the beach and the waves aren’t hitting against Minnie’s hair, we still think the video is totes adorbes. That’s all.
