Kim K wants to eat her own placenta

The reality star says she “really” wants to eat her placenta after her baby girl is born because it’ll make her look younger. Oh, and the added benefits of nutrition for the baby of course.

In a clip from the season premiere of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim speaks to her doctor about her placenta. “Why would a normal human wanna eat their own placenta?” she asks. “Don’t you think it makes you younger?” While her momager, Kris, looks visibly grossed out (we don’t blame her) in the background.

The doctor confirms that some people do indeed believe that the  practice could make them appear younger, and that there are even entire cook books filled with recipes!

Kris then ever so swiftly replies: “Yuck! I don’t think we’re going to be eating the fountain of youth, if you know what I mean.” Kim then says: “I really wanna do it.”

Well, Kim isn’t the first, and she probably won’t be the last. Stars like January Jones and Holly Madison have all openly talked about the practice.

January says to People: "Your placenta gets dehydrated and made into vitamins. It's something I was very hesitant about, but we're the only mammals who don't ingest our own placentas ... It's not witch-crafty or anything! I suggest it to all moms!"
