Khanyi Mbau's making headlines again – this time for a fling with married businessman Theunis Crous. Are they on or off?
Socialite Khanyi Mbau's split from 51-year-old Theunis Crous after a nine month relationship has prompted reports that the couple are in a bitter war of words. "Dating Khanyi was a huge mistake. She is a liar and a manipulator," Theunis told The Sowetan last week.
The businessman, who is married to 30-year-old Primrose Crous, is reported to have given Mbau a black Lamborghini during their relationship, as well as providing financial support for her construction company – money which she is still to repay him. "I tracked her down to Killarney Mall and I'm walking her straight to the bank. There are big money issues involved," he told heat.
Meanwhile Mbau has denied any romantic involvement with Crous to heat, "My real boyfriend lives in LA, but he's dumped me because of this scandal. Theunis's lies have cost me my relationship."
But is it really over?
Even more bizarre are reports that Crous is trying to reconcile with Mbau! The Sowetan reports that he has "declared his undying love for her" and apologised to Mbau for calling her a witch, a gold digger and a liar.
"I was going through hell and felt like there was a bad spell on my life. Khanyi suggested we seek help from a spiritual healer," he told the newspaper.
"Look, I love my wife and kids with all my heart, but when you like two people at the same time, one person is bound to get hurt," he added.
