We all know that the only reason Katrina Darling landed a spread in the latest Playboy is because of her supposed relation to the royal family.
I don’t know what bothers me more, the fact that Kate and
Katrina had never set eyes on each other in their lives or, that the media has
been feeding off it enough to successfully launch Katrina’s career.
If Kate has by now not acknowledged Katrina who is her
second cousin once removed (because Darling’s grandmother is the sister of
Catherine’s great-grandfather) then why on earth do we keep on referring to her
as Kate’s cousin?
The young burlesque dancer admits that she didn’t know about
the relation till some time before the big royal wedding and didn’t think that
much of it.
If that is truly the case, why has she then taken every opportunity
to hop onto the royal family’s gravy train?
I personally think that we have gone a bit too far in
celebrating this girl as an extended member of the royal family.
If it was okay to do so then I guess Brad Pitt would be
preparing himself to run for office after his 9th cousin President
Obama.
