Is Lady Gaga influential?

Little monsters everywhere will rejoice at the news that their Mother Monster has been named the second most influential person of the last decade.

The poll, by Time Magazine,  named the most influential icons of the last decade with Gaga losing out only to Burmese politician Aung San Suu Kyi for the top honours.

The Born This Way superstar is reportedly more powerful than even her own president Barack Obama!

The singer earned her place in the poll from her efforts both on-stage and off.

She received international praise for her charity work and has been a strong supporter of equal rights, playing a major role in the US military’s Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy.
She also founded her own youth-focused charity - the Born This Way Foundation.

Although the influential star has been out of action due to her hip, Little Monsters won’t have to wait too much longer for their fave celeb.

Twitter has been abuzz with reports of the singer booking out an entire studio to record her new album, ARTPOP that will be released in two parts later this year.
