It has been confirmed Heidi Klum and her husband, Seal, are getting a divorce. How sad?

Heidi and Seal wrote a joint statement confirming their split. *sob*

“While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart.”

38-year-old supermodel Heidi and Grammy award winner Seal, 48, got married in May 2005 and have four children, 3 biological (Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2) and Heidi‘s daughter Leni, 7, from a previous marriage who Seal adopted.

They are really serious about parting ways and Heidi attended the Golden Globe Awards alone.

They added their statement: “This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”

Seal and Heidi are the last people we expected to split. Here’s to hoping it won’t turn bitter.
