The Loft's Reviews

1 Went to the loft on Saturday 22/11 and it was terrible. The food was below average. Two of us had the duck spring rolls - one small piece of duck in each. One of us had blue cheese and spinach salad. There was probably about a teaspoon of cheese in the salad. We had to send a chicken dish back as it was still raw, and we had to send a fillet back because it arrived at the table cold. When the fillet came back it was warm, but well cooked (originally ordered medium rare), and when the chicken came back it was still not completely done. The chicken dish was terrible - it was bland and flavourless. Our bill came to R900, table of four. When paying R900 for four I expect exceptional quality. We did not even have desserts - we decided to cut our losses. When leaving I told the manager that we were very disappointed with our meal he was very dismissive, and in fact got angry with us.

2 Went to the Loft tonight, menu was limited, to add to which, one of the dishes (the one I ordered) was unavailable! Not much of a loft - too many tables in too small an area. Disappointing experience, would not recommend.
