Cafe Del Mar, a restaurant set apart by excellent service, friendly staff, and exceptional food. This is one of life's pleasant surprises. They offer food of the highest order. Always a fun and pleasant vibe. And if you stick around long enough you'll meet the owner, and then you experience will be even better. A truly family friendly restaurant, and a fantastic party place for the younger crowd. I have been going to Cafe Del Mar since September last year, and I go at least five times a week. To tell the honest truth, I have met the love of my life at this very restaurant. Cafe Del Mar will always have a special place in my heart. Well Done Cafe Del Mar! Keep it up.

I initially only went to Cafe Del Mar For a quick coffee while doing a little work on my laptop. When I opened up my PC the waiter who was so friendly and chatty notified me that they offered free wireless internet for customers. Lucky me as I was actually urgently needing to send some E-mails. My quick coffee changed into me ordering a glass of wine as by this stage I had decided to stay for lunch. Their lamb chops are to die for and well presented and definitely value for money. I had friends that ended up meeting me for cocktails which were also fantastic. All in all it was a great experience. The food and drinks were good. The service was superb and Ill definitely be back again.

Perhaps the most disappointing restaurant experience I've had in quite a while. My friend had the kingklip which was recommended by the waitress but was tough, dry and an absolute shame for R115.00. My rump (R89) was cooked rare as requested but was not juicy and really nothing to write home about. No imagination is going into the food which is plainly presented and really not worth the prices charging. The waitress, while willing, was over-selling - she probably because the place was pretty well empty. Definitely won't go back.

I cannot believe that your website allows people to complain about not getting free tap water. I have a restaaurant in the UK and when my customers come it is to eat and drink, if I choose to give my customers a drink on the house then I do. I have been coming to South Africa for many years and find the country beautiful, but find. South Africans to be spoilt. Listen dearies the restaurant industry is a business and there is no such thing as a free ride. Also is it not time for South Africans to be more positive. Restraunteers work hard ungodly hours please do not use them if you are going to take the piss. There is no such thing as a free drink...and tap water is not free!!

Gagging for a glass of tap water because it is sooooo hot, had to ask the waiter like a hundred times and when it finally came it had no ice or lemon, omigosh whats up with this city and free tap water??it's not like i'm going to pay for bottled water....never ever

I would never go there again. Our drinks took ages to arrive and even though we pre ordered our meals we were only served around 10pm. A colleague after complaining about the quality of her food was told she is drunk and should remain quiet, this was after she had 2 cocktails. Truky a horrid expierence
