Aileen Wournos – Monster
Based on a true story, onse Charlize plays a former prostitute who becomes a serial killer. Aileen meets Selby in a bar one night and they immediately click. Unable to find a normal job, she goes back to prostitution, and starts killing her customers. The only thing we like about her is that she was fiercely loyal to Selby.

Alexis Carrington – Dynasty Of all the characters on the '80s prime-time soap opera, Alexis was the most conniving, and that's saying a lot. This femme fatale's ultimate goal? To ruin the life of her first husband, Blake Carrington, at any cost.

Annie Wilkes – Misery
Though I thought the movie paled in comparison to the book, Kathy Bates was brilliant in this role, and won both an Oscar and Golden Globe for her efforts. Annie rescues her favourite writer, Paul Sheldon, from his car after an accident and takes him home. She’s a hero, right? Wrong! Annie isn’t as innocent as she seems.

Catwoman – Batman Returns
In my opinion, Michelle Pfeiffer was the best Catwoman. She knew how to bring the crazy and keep it there. Selina Kyle gets pushed out of a window by her boss, and then comes back to take crazy cat lady to a whole new level. She terrorises Gotham City, but does it oh, so sublimely that we almost forgive her crazy antics.

Cruella De Vil - 101 Dalmatians
Any woman willing to make a fur coat out of adorable little Dalmatian puppies must be pure evil. That weird hair, that horrible, blood-curdling laugh, and those gloves! It's all enough to make even the toughest cookies crumble

Alex Forrest – Fatal Attraction
Glenn Close played this role so well it’s actually kind of scary. Alex starts an affair with a married man, but when he tries to leave, she goes completely psycho. She stalks him, pours acid on his car, and even follows him home. The woman might have been nuts, but she sure was committed.

Hilly Holbrook - The Help
Hilly seems like any normal suburban housewife in the ‘60s, but underneath that façade lies a blatantly racist, conniving woman who can make any movie-goer’s blood boil. She proposes a Home Help Sanitation Initiative because, as she puts it, "black people carry different diseases to white people". She’s bossy, mean, inconsiderate, and rude to both her mother and her friends. All round, she’s just not a very nice person.

Miranda Priestly - The Devil Wears Prada
Think your boss is bad? You’ve obviously never seen this movie. She makes her assistants get up at the crack of dawn to get her coffee, deliver Harry potter books that haven’t even been published yet to her children, and somehow stop a hurricane so she can see said children’s school play. She can ruin months of hard work just by pursing her lips. In her own words, “That’s all.”

O-Ren Ishii – Kill Bill
O-Ren was a Chinese-Japanese American who took revenge on the man who killed her parents when she was just 11 years old. By 20, she was one of the top female assassins in the world. Five years later, she helped kill several people in a wedding chapel, and put The Bride in a coma. Years later, Beatrix tracks her down and challenges her to a sword fight.

Regina George – Mean Girls
“Evil takes a human form in Regina George." Regina is the most popular girl in school, and Queen of the Plastics. She rules the school, always has to be the centre of attention, and manipulates everyone. She keeps a “burn book” where she and her evil minions write mean things about other kids in school. She’s the girl we all love to hate.
