We love the way his eyes crinkle when he smiles... Funnily enough, James was named the student with the "best smile" in his senior year in high school. Sweet!

Who knew! The boy's an artist too! James developed a talent for painting in high school and attended an art summer school to hone his skills. He's said that painting was the "outlet" he needed in high school, and that he "has actually been painting longer than he has been acting". His paintings were displayed publicly for the first time at the Glu Gallery in Los Angeles in 2006. Hmm... we'll pose for you any time James!

Embracing his funny side, James has starred in a number of humorous viral videos (internet video clips). One such video purports to show him being fired from the film Knocked Up in which he had a cameo role. He's also hosted a satirical series of acting lessons called Acting with James Franco, and in October this year, starred in a viral video that appeared to be a parody of a Hollywood tribute.
