The former Mr Madonna aka Guy Ritchie was born in Hertfordshire in the UK. As a child, he realised that he wanted to make films and after dropping out of school at the age of 15, he got a job as a runner. He quickly progressed and was soon directing music promos for bands and commercials.
He is most well known for writing and directing the widely acclaimed Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998 for which he won an Edgar Award for Best Motion Picture Screenplay.
