Die Antwoord and Lady Gaga>Another Twitter war. This battle actually resulted from Die Antwoord mocking Gaga in their music video Fatty Boom Boom where she is seen running down the street in her meat costume after a taxi tour goes sour. The video is so graphic that in one scene a doctor pulls out an insect from between Gaga’s legs. Gaga responded with “I think u freaky but you don't have a hit. hundred thousand tIckets sold in SA (sic)." Ouch.

Steve Hofmeyr VS John VlismasThe first South African roast of the actor/singer Hofmeyr ended badly when the extremely personal jokes were taken, well, personally. Hofmeyr then tweeted a death threat to comedian Vlismas which read (when translated into English) ‘I wanted to, but someone WILL assassinate Vlismas and I want to be there (sic)’ referring to the jokes made in apparent bad taste. It’s a roast Steve, the point is to be hilariously brutal!
