There were some unfortunate tweets regarding the parade. One ‘all those gay dudes in one place is very unsettling’ is indicative of the ignorance we’re compelled to shout out against. One person’s opinion is another’s death sentence.

Unfortunately this year’s parade wasn’t as well publicised as in previous years, but it was definitely one of the best I’ve been too – so if you like a party, pretty colours, fabulous people and supporting freedom in diversity don’t miss it next year.

Good Hope Metropolitan Community Church is an inclusive Christian community in Cape Town, with the tag ‘Would Jesus Discriminate’? Being the cool dude he was, I doubt it.
