Adele first caught our eye after the launch of debut album 19. Back then, she was still singing about Chasing Pavements and Hometown Glory – and we fell for her. The singer attended the Brit Awards 2008 in London where she wore a pair of black pants, matching shoes and threw on a striped black and beige jersey and a coat. Her make-up was fabulous and she wore a side-part in her hair.
How cute does she look here? Can’t you just just eat her up? Adele arrived at the Mercury Music Prize in 2008 sporting an adorable black minidress. The singer wore the frock with black stockings, pumps and a black cardigan with a pink lining. As usual her hair and make-up were off the hook.
Wow! Is that colour we see? Adele surprised us with an eye-catching green coat. We love it. But then, of course, the rest of the outfit was once again (what else?) black. For the 2009 Grammys, Adele wore a black v-neck dress with a black high-waist belt. I also adore the touch of glam she added with the diamante brooch. Overall, a nice effort, don’t you think?
And then she took of the coat and unveiled her favourite colour whilst posing with her two Grammy Awards. Still, we can’t help but notice how good her skin is and how flawless her make-up looks. Whoever is responsible for her beauty routine is doing an awesome job.
Dressed a bit down, Adele was all smiles at a Barbara Tfank presentation. The star rocked up in black pants and a matching top. She spiced this up with leopard print pumps and a plaid knee-length coat. Barely-there make-up and a long ponytail complete the look.
Adele just can’t get away from wearing her favourite shade! Her saving grace for this outfit is the embroidery. We love the cut of the dress and how it hugs her body. But gosh, I’m starting to get a bit tired of all these monochrome ensembles.
I think Adele is one of the few stars who can really get away with voluminous hair.

The singer appeared on the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet wearing a knee-length, sheath dress with fascinating embellishments in the chest area. What really got my hearth leaping, though, are the slick shoes she wore – see their lining?
Another thing that Adele seems to be a fan of is anything that cinches in belts. Almost all her dresses have a similar cut. Take, for example, this floor-length sparkly gown she’s wearing here.
And finally, here’s Adele at the 2012 Brits Awards dressed in a lengthy black sheath dress with sheer three-quarter sleeves.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I love a slimming colour as much as the next girl. But I think, once in a while, a bit of colour or playful print, can really make all the difference to a woman’s image. And it can even flatter your figure – it’s tricky to do it, but it’s still possible. I can’t wait for Adele to spice things up by wearing an outfit (any outfit!)
