The designer may be a leader when it comes to clothes for the catwalk, but her make-up is totally fumbled here. Aside from the lipstick on her teeth (always a doozy), her eye shadow is applied terribly and has leaked into her eyelid crease. Her eyebrows are also uneven and way too thin.

Back in the days, the former Spice Girl stepped onto the red carpet with multiple make-up mishaps. Firstly, her lip liner is about two shades darker than her lipstick (a terrible '90s look that most women tried to pull off). But the smattering of unblended concealer below her eyes is what really makes this situation unsalvageable.

Remember when experts suggested that you could make your mouth look fuller by lining outside your lips? Well, this is the end result. Pam also needs to ease up on the eyeliner – a 5-year-old could have drawn those lines.

Thank heavens that Kim's make-up technique has improved since the early 2000s. Kim stepped out with a face that's catwalk-ready and, like most things straight from the ramp, you need to tweak the trends to make it work in real life. That blue eyeliner has simply got to go.

Thankfully, the reality TV star has learned a lot since then. But while she's usually flawless on the red carpet, here's another occasion when Kim got it wrong. In this pic, Kim has applied too much powder which highlights the lines around her eyes – instead of hiding them. Also, I'm not crazy about her tarantula lashes.

This is a real paparazzi snapshot, isn't it? Eva was spotted with a chalk-line line of concealer below her eyes. Again, you can never blend too much.

Once in a while, make-up artists get together and come up with creative ways to play around with beauty looks. This is one of them. Sure, these fake feathered eyelashes will look stunning as part of a very dramatic magazine shoot, but don't step onto the runway wearing them.

The singer's red lipstick is so dramatic (and so drawn in) that she's started resembling The Joker. We love us some glam Ditta von Teese lips, but this is too much.

Aaaaaargh! This is one of my make-up pet peeves. Women who completely shave their eyebrows and then draw them back in with a pencil. WTF, Christina!

Her face has four different shades of colour on it. Her lipstick has disappeared completely. And I'm sure her mascara was supposed to give her volume, but her eyelashes look stumpy. It takes real effort to turn a beauty like Catherine Zeta-Jones into a beast.

The actress's neck is darker than her face. And the eye make-up? It's cringe-worthy. I'm guessing this was supposed to be some sort of smokey eye?
