Celani and I met, in 2002, where we were studying at the same tertiary. We met through a friend, who had come to invite me to a party.

Later on at the party, there he was and soon, we ended up chatting the whole night.

Then, it so happened that both of the people we were relying on to give us a lift back home, had left us. As a result, we had to walk for quite a long distance to get a cab. Since his place was the closest, my friends and I decided to spend the night there.

He was a perfect gentleman. The following morning, we just couldn’t get enough of each other’s company and he ended up asking me to stay for the weekend.

We had such a strong connection from the first day we meet, so much so, that we spent almost every day and night together, thereafter.

I even lied to my mum during the school holidays, telling her I had assignments that were due when we opened and seeing that the holidays are short I’d rather spend them at school.

He proposed in 2006; it was a bit of a shock, even though we had been together for so long.

He’s proposal was very lame, but cute. He didn’t even have a ring.

Our wedding day (02 December 2011) was so special, with all of our friends and family there. Unfortunately my mom couldn’t make it because she was very ill.

We planned the wedding together and that made it even more special. It was one of the many happy days in our lives.

We wanted to have a small but elegant bushveld style wedding. Finding the venue proved to be a bit tough, but Hubby made it happen.
