After spending the greater part of November and the first part of December together...we amicably, but sadly, parted ways as we knew all too well that 'long distance doesn't work'. Later that December, while on holiday an aunt saw me looking all long-faced and forelorn and asked what the matter was. I explained to her that Jacques and I had decided to part ways, firmly believing that long distance would never work. That was the day I probably received the best advice of my entire life. Well, it turned out God had a beautiful plan for our lives. After a couple of years, I was able to relocate my job to my home town and we became engaged. On 12 December 2009, I married the man God planned for me to marry. I love him not only for what he is, but what I am when I am with him. He is my best friend and best of all, I will never look back and say 'what if he was the one?', but rather look at him and say 'I found the one! '
