Leeshay Small and I (Tremayne David) met by chance through a mutual friend in Durban in March 2007. I, originally from Pietermaritzburg, was visiting Durban with friends when I met Leeshay who had already moved to Richards Bay (formally from Durban).

Little did we know that we had found the rest of our lives when we met each other that night! We were officially dating by April 2007.

Later that year, after many chats, telephone calls and Leeshay travelling to Pietermaritzburg as often as he could to visit me, I decided to move to Richards Bay with the intent of being closer to Leeshay.

Just after midnight on the 01st January 2011, and after almost 4 years together, Leeshay got down on bended knee and proposed to me at my parents’ home in Pietermaritzburg.

I said YES and so the wedding planning began.
We wanted a summer wedding and chose December for our big day. The wedding colours consisted of White, Silver & Lime Green (chosen by the Groom).

Clyde and Vernon both captured our day magnificently and ensured that our memories will last a lifetime. We really enjoyed working with our videographer & photographer and with the many jokes and special moments throughout the day, we all felt so comfortable.

We officially pledged our love to each other & tied the knot in front of family and friends on 17th December 2011 in a church ceremony in Pietermaritzburg.

The stunning décor was done by Yvette Raman of Candles and Décor in Pietermaritzburg and consisted of over-sized Martini & Wine Goblet Vases on square cut mirrors as centre-pieces surrounded by mirror votive candle holders.

We were welcomed into our reception at the Lynpark Hall to Bruno Mars – Marry you, we jived to Bob Marley’s “Could you be loved” for our wedding march and our first dance as Mr and Mrs Small was to Luther Vandross – Always and Forever.
