How he proposed
I came home to find a rose petal pathway leading to a picnic area in our living room where he told me he had hidden Ferrero Rochier chocolates.

I then foraged through the petals and started munching, when I found ‘the’ little box. I nearly choked on the chocolate I was eating when he asked me to be his wife!

The venue was at Erinvale as I could get dressed, married and have a reception all at one place. I felt like a princess getting ready in the honeymoon suit.

We decided to get married on the 5th of February 2011 – the hottest time of the year and Jacques was adamant he was going to wear a 3 piece suit. At least he didn’t pass out from the heat!

Our décor was done by ‘Special Events’ by Cindy and the theme was black, white and crystal! She made it a dream come true wedding!

We had decided to have our photos taken before the ceremony and many were upset because it was breaking tradition but it turned out to be so special!

He waited for me under a gazebo in a full bloom garden while I walked a narrow pathway filled with roses. We were both so nervous and couldn’t stop smiling.

Even though we had seen each other before saying our vows in the Chapel I still had butterflies in my tummy as I walked down the aisle and he looked so happy and excited to see me.
