In October of 2008, after we had been dating for 3 years, he called me and told me to meet him at the Emmerentia Botanical Gardens. He went down on one knee and proposed to me in the Shakespeare Garden. We were married on the 11th of July last year at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens. We had a traditional Tswana wedding reception complete with dancing in the streets.

I couldn’t really dance much because I was 16 weeks pregnant with our beautiful daughter Mayah whose name means “The presence of God”. Stan is gentle, kind and chivalrous. He makes me feel special every day, and I never thought I would meet someone who fills me with such joy.
